Our History
The Global Emerging Pathogens Treatment Consortium (GEMNet-Health) was established in 2012 as a collaborative network of academic health institutions committed to strengthening health systems and building capacity for emerging pathogens treatment. Since its inception, GEMNet-Health has grown to include leading institutions across multiple African countries and international partners.
Through targeted programs in research, training, and clinical care, GEMNet-Health has made significant contributions to pandemic preparedness, infectious disease management, and health workforce development across the continent. The network continues to expand its reach and impact, addressing emerging health challenges through collaboration and innovation.
